RESEARCH
Our office has a major component directly related to research. Our coordinator, Linda
Poston, RN, manages each of the clinical trials that are being conducted in
conjunction with several pharmaceutical companies. The purpose of research is to study the
effects of new drugs entering the marketplace or drugs already on the market, but are being
studied for new treatments.Some of the research topics available are:
SEIZURE STUDY ALEX-MT to test the safety and effectiveness of an investigational seizure medication.
Are you between the ages of 16 and 70? Do you have a diagnosis of epilepsy with partial seizures? Do you currently take 1-2 medications to control your seizures? Are you willing to change your seizure medication? This study lasts approximately 30 weeks. Participants come to the office for periodic check-ups and testing. The medication is provided at no cost to you. SEIZURE STUDY Are cluster or breakthrough seizures affecting your life? Do these seizures happen quickly over a short period of time? Vanquix Auto-Injector ; a new drug delivery system being studied for these acute repetitive seizures.
An adult caregiver is required for participation in the study. Adults and children ages 2 and up may qualify. Participants will receive study medication, study-related procedures, and study visits at no cost. ADULT ACUTE MIGRAINE STUDY
Do you experience 1 - 6 migraines per month? Are you between the ages of 18 and 65? Participants receive study medication, study related procedures at no cost. There are only three study visits.
