Dr. Stephen N. Donahue attended The University of Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and completed his medical education at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. He completed his internship and neurology residency at The University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia followed by a fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Donahue is proficient in the diagnosis and management of a wide array of neurological disorders and has special interest in neuromuscular conditions such as Myasthenia Gravis, various myopathies, and peripheral neuropathies. Dr. Donahue has expertise in the use of electromyography in the evaluation of peripheral nervous system and muscular disorders and is skilled in the use of Botulinum toxin for the treatment of dystonia, spasticity, and headache. Additionally, he is experienced in the diagnosis and management of stroke, various types of headaches, immunological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, and movement disorders such as Parkinson's Disease.
Dr. Donahue is a native of Savannah, GA and a graduate of Benedictine Military School. He is happy to have returned to his hometown to live and practice neurology. Dr. Donahue's wife, Amy, is also from Savannah and together they are thrilled to be raising their young son in Savannah.
